"God's nature is perfect, holy, total love. He will never relate to you in any other way although you may not always understand His actions." - Experiencing God
When I first read the passage above I though about my own children; when I correct them or have to punish them they often do not understand the love behind it. I remember growing up I would complain because my mom would not allow me to do some of the things my friends were doing - her reply was simple... "I love you enough to say No."
If we can deny our own children certain things out of love, how can we question God's timing or methods? Sometimes we need God to save us from ourselves and he requires us to trust in His timing. Sometimes the hardest thing is to wait, but we must believe that God loves us more than we can possibly understand and He wants us to flourish and not to suffer - even if that means telling us No or not right now.
