When the world seems to be collapsing around you and the tests and trials seem to be unbearable – we must remember there is a purpose. God will bring us through and we will come out the other side better prepared to deal with our future callings.
As I have been sorting through things in my life, just trying to “make sense of it all,” I have had to accept that some things are not meant for me to understand. That was one of the easier things I have realized.
Here is something to reflect on – “Did God place us in our current situation intentionally in order to teach us a valuable lesson? Or has our trials increased based on our sinful choices and decisions?” I believe that God has a plan for each one of us, though as we stray our paths must be modified. The plan stays the same, the amount of detours and missed encounters are what changes. Think of our lives as a boat. God has the destination planned and He has a “preferred course” for us to take. Each time we drift off course there are certain things we miss from his preferred path. Each time we drift off course the more correction we are needed and if we never allow Him to make the full correction we will travel on a skewed path – we may experience some of the things He intended for us or see the fringe of the experiences, but we may never see our full potential without complete submission….
