Romans 5:6-8 "You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
I have been battling with forgiveness and anger lately. It seems that I am not alone, I have had a few people take to me about their issues and it has helped bring clarity for myself. It is amazing how we can be blessed when we stop to help others.
This verse is simple. How often do we hear people say, or think ourselves, that we are not worthy of God's love. Or that we just need to get these issues under control before we can open up to God. This verse is a reminder that Christ died before we were even saved. His death paid the debt we owe but can not pay. He knows us at our worst, he knows our heart and our selfish desires and he died anyway. So if he freely died for our sins, why would He reject us now? It is simple, He wouldn't.
