Welcome to my piece of the web, A Battered Warrior. We have all been through different battles in our lives, heartbreak, betrayal, divorce, loss, and the everyday grind. I hope my writings touch you and help you to know that you are not alone and we will survive. Even as I endure my own battles, I hope we may draw strength from one another and inspire each other to keep fighting. Though at times we may feel desperate, hopeless, and alone - we are in fact part of something bigger than ourselves and therefore we will conquer our fears and doubts, transcending our current hell to become something more.
As I sit here starting this journey, I am trying to envision where this may lead. I hope God will use my stories and pain to help others during their times of struggle. I plan to share my trials and some poems I have written as well as recommend some of the books I have read. I will continue to add books and comments as I continue my quest. Please feel free to share anything that helped you through your difficult times, it may speak to someone and give them the hope they need to carry on.
We are all warriors in one form or another, some are just more battered than others. Unfortunately when you are being attacked, it is almost impossible to see the thousands around you offering their hand. Hopefully we can all reflect a little and remove the blinders to see we are not alone and together help inspire each other to continue to fight.
*** I have just added a page for prayer requests. Please send your requests to abatteredwarrior@yahoo.com . If everyone reading is praying and passing it on, think of the impact we can have.
* Just a note – I have had several people try to “figure me out” through my blog and my statements. I have also had people think I am writing specifically about them, please do not think I am condemning, attacking, or singling anyone out. I pray and I write. I draw from my life, my views, and experiences I have either lived or know people who have. I write to let people know they are not alone and maybe touch someone’s life. Please do not use them to judge me and try to figure out my life and my choices – if you are reading my blog for that purpose, you are missing the point.
